Reviews

Well worth the time and money

We had a great guide (Louis) who was very knowledgeable on Malaysia history and politics which was our areas of interest.
He was brought up on a rubber plantation and even pulled over on the expressway to pick a few leaves from a rubber tree to show us how it is harvested, and great stories relating to living on the plantations.
The history and even the modern history of Malacca is fascinating.

Thank you Louis for a great day.
Always a pleasure to visit Malacca

It's always a pleasure to visit Malacca, it's unique cultural heritage, its authentic variety of Peranakaan food, the hustle and bustle of street attractions and night market fills the day with so much appreciation of heritage, shopping, enjoyment
Hidden Treasure of a Day Trip

Our driver was prompt with pick up and was very knowledgeable of Kuala Lumpur (starting point) and Melaka (destination). Throughout the multi-hour drive, our driver Ramesh kept us entertained with not just fun and informative facts about Malaysia, but also offered us with a great selection of background music to enjoy. The tour itinerary was enough to offer us ample time to explore the many points of interests found at the Unesco World heritage site. Very much enjoyed this tour and would recommend to others who are in Malaysia and looking for a day excursion.
Day tour of Malacca

Great guide who was friendly and knowledgeable. The trip included all the highlights and a taste of Malacca. It is now on the list of places to revisit for a longer period of time.
The History of Melaka - highly recommend

The tour was good and our guide Kumuthan was excellent. We saw all the things in Melaka that we wanted to see and Kumuthan was attentive to our needs and was very knowledgeable about the history of the city. We saw the A Famosa Fort (.the oldest surviving European architectural remains in Asia), the 16th-century St. Paul's Church, Christ Church, and Stadthuys in Red Square. We went for lunch at the famous Jonker Street, rode on a Rickshaw and saw a replica of the sunken Portuguese ship Flor De La Mar.
I would highly recommend this trip.
Too expensive

The tour is expensive and the guide didn't stay with us, a taxi will be less expensive.
The city is nice.
Private Day trip to Malacca
Jmathew20142014, 31-05-2022
We were happy with the drive back and forth from KUL to Malacca as the roads where in very good condition. The Chauffeur entertained us with lots of information about Malaysia and the political situation there. When we reached Malacca it was bit disappointing as there isn't much to explore. It was just another day spend outside Kaula lumpur.
More of a self tour not guided tour

The hotel pick up was on time and the vehicle very nice and comfortable. The drive to Malacca was fast, sometimes a bit too fast on the freeway at 150km/h with frequent tailgating that at times felt unsafe. First stop was the Melaka Straits mosque but we were not informed about the dress code for entry (no shorts for men). Then we were dropped in main town and handed over to a Trishaw ride for 30 mins. This was included in the tour price so do not pay the Trishaw guy extra. Our “guide” then grabbed tickets for river cruise but gave us wrong information regarding departure schedule (every half hour) so we had to wait 25 mins. The duration of cruise is 30mins and is quite relaxing but not that much to see during the day, maybe at night it fires up along the river. Then we went through the museum at Stadthuys (worth it) and a walk down Jonker Street. Lunch at Jonker88 was great, despite the queue for 20 mins. Laksa was delicious.
Back to the car for a 2 hour drive home.
Malacca trip is well worth it to understand the history but don’t expect anything more than your own self guided tour with a driver out of this “tour”. So do your history research before you go and spend plenty of time in the museum.
